Color Code Cylinder Tank for R410A and R22 Refrigerant

Here's some of information we can use to distinguish the type of refrigerant inside the cylinder tank;
Through it's assigned cylinder's color. Assigned colors was implemented for every refrigerant. You can probably see all the list by typing this keywords in the Google search engine. For the brief discussion I have here the two different refrigerant that are commonly use in residential aircon application.

You can see above that the R22 refrigerant uses green color cylinder tank while the rose pink is assigned to R410A refrigerant. The color of the refrigerant cylinders are different to indicate it's type to prevent any mixture during service or any field job.

The construction of the cylinder tank depends on the supplier other has a siphon tube while other has none. Cylinder tank equipped with this siphon tube do not require to be inverted during charging.

Note: Charging other refrigerant type in the cylinder tank is not recommended whereas it can contaminate original composition of the refrigerant.
